Opeing Sequence "Gloves Up"
Scene fades in with Zee Played by Junuz jogging up the street, the scene is slowed down with music playing in the background "Eminem lose yourself" Title's run across the bottom. The next scene is Chris played by "Luke" lifting weights. The scenes keep switching from Junuz training, back to Luke training and this is a repeated pattern. For 1 minute and 20 seconds. The Next scene will be at the actual gym, the camera focuses on the ring. The 2 fighters both step in, referee played by Titas, will introduce the fighters. The same music will play throughout, while any speech is muted. Towards the end, the referee raises his hand and starts the fade, while the scene fades out into a black Title clip, gloves Up!

Virgin Media Short Films - 2:20
2:20 a film about fate and when its time to go its your time. I believe this film is about a man who makes a bad choice in ignoring "Amy" Who could be many different things to the man in the video and because of this he comes to his end? This could be a logical way of looking at the film also notice when he looks at his phone, the time 2:20. This could be that at this time he ignored Amy and moments later he was what appeared to be dead.
The glasses were in someone else's possession at the time of 2:20 and went from one person to another in a space of minutes. Had he not have been given the glasses he could still be alive and sitting there on the seat or even without the glasses would he have been dead. He would most likely be dead even so as the moral of the story is the time and date that you are going to die. Hence the date and time about the people's head when he puts the glasses on.
The woman in the short film could have been the Angel of death as some people say. she could have been the whole reason for his existence and the whole reason in which he died.
The film was very good and very eye catching with a very good and strogn story. i like this film as it is clear wjhat is going on but also it is realistic and represents peopls views and faiths in fate and when its your time to die, it is time you cannot change that.
I also like the setting of the film in the high street as the colours are good against his back and also when the woman walks along the sidewalk with her trolley it is very dark again relating back to the angel of death.
The camera shots used in the film were very good and set the seen as well. The way it shown the woman's feet and the wheels of the trolley creates a tense and dramatic opening to the film. The shot from over the woman's shoulder looking at the man and vise versa shows that these are the main two people in the film also that these are gonna be involved with each other in the film.
The main feature i liked in the film was the story line and the use of glasses in the film as these are the main focus. If he was not given the glasses would he still be alive? Why did he die? What was the reason? Some questions are sparked straight away and creates the amazing but simple story of the film making it brilliant. 5 out of 5 from me.

History of your genre of film
So the film we are designing is sport/drama. This is because the UFC fight and the preparation towards the UFC fight is all sport however the flashback to when Chris Taylor was a child shows a sense of drama. This is because Chris's mum walked out on him when he was just a child so he has had a hard life in and out of foster homes. Spencer found him and gave him the chance to be a somebody, he took the opportunity and now is challenging the world champion for his title... This shows the sense of Drama.
With the film being based around this one fight, you know that this is sport.
The second boxing match filmed, listed on the Wikipedia website was "Corbett & Courtney: Before the Kinetograph". This was made in the year 1894 and was a silent film meaning that a lot of the communication would have been through eye contact, body language etc. this means that the film would have mot likely been over-acted making punches and insults a bit extreme with the player flying out the ring, very over acted.
"Corbett & Courtney: Before the Kinetograph" was a short American short black and white film produced by William K.L. Dickinson, starring James J. Corbett. It was only the second boxing match to be filmed after The Leonard-Cushing Fight which had been filmed by Dickinson on June 14 1894. The main two people that starred in the movie were James J. Corbett and Peter Courtney
-The Plot
James J. Corbett & Peter Courtney were both involved in an arranged boxing match under special conditions that it was allowed to be filmed on a Kinetograph. The match consisted of 6, 1 minute rounds, where James J. Corbett was the boxing hero at the time and Peter Courtney was the underdog of the match.
-Production
The film was produced by Edison Manufacturing Company, which had begun making films in 1890 under the direction of William K.L. Dickinson. The entire film, was filmed within the Black Maria studio at West Orange, New Jersey, which is now modernly referred to as "America's First Film Studio"
-Now
The film is now not protected by the copyright laws so therefore it is freely available to download on the internet, however there is a copy kept at 'The Library of Congress"
-Our Film
This boxing film was the start of a new sport, beginning of a super popular sport & the start of sports such as MMA and UFC, taking basic boxing and creating much more with it. This creates a more physical and contact sport.
-More & More
More & More boxing films are being released near to every year being a new one, a new film called "Warrior" is based on 1 man fighting his brother for the UFC world heavyweight title. This is very similar to what we are doing with our film.

Feedback
Group 1
-Gloves Up!
Have to stick with the copyright law and not use the music we planned to first hand
Get the editing perfect to make the scene perfect and the video to the best standards also to make the video perfectly in sync
Group 1
-DOLLS
How are you going to show the torturing?
What the the dolls ever done to you?
How & where will you create the dark and dingy corridor?
Age rating should be 15 in my opinion. the group said it would be a 12 a however the idea of the film is quite disturbing therefore it ay not be suitable for 12 year old.
Does the film need to be point of view to get the point of the film across?
Group 2
-Split
How may split personalities does the main character have?
Who do you plan on to play the main character?
How are you going to show him in an exam and a football match?
Positioning of the camera, when showing the exam or the football game?
Sound, make sure that the sounds if to a good quality!
